The MPEG Industry Forum (MPEGIF) and Internet Streaming Media Alliance (ISMA) are presenting an informational super-session entitled "MPEG Technologies - Setting New Standards" at IBC 2004. Come hear industry experts who represent the most influential players in MPEG-based multimedia and standards-based streaming as they exchange their views on trends and technologies that are changing the way digital multimedia is created, compressed, and delivered. In addition, service operators adopting these new video technologies will share their experiences to date as they deploy these new services around the world
Gain insider perspectives on the future of MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 and other emerging MPEG technologies, the importance of IP distribution and how it will affect the ubiquity of video entertainment; potential business models and preferences for viewing content in the home, in the office or on the handheld device.
Find out more about MPEGIF's and ISMA's upcoming logo qualification and conformance programs; talk one-on-one with experts from around the world, from service operators to technology providers. Key questions like how IP is transforming the viewing experience of the future, the licensing of these new technologies, the role of the PC in the new video distribution model and how MPEG-4 compares to Windows Media are all addressed in this Supersession.
This "MPEG Technologies - Setting New Standards" Supersession is the latest in a series of events focused on these topics and follows the hugely successful sessions staged at NAB2004 and IBC 2003.
