At the IBC Mobile Zone, the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated
Circuits IIS is demonstrating the latest results of its DVB-H developments.
Our improved DVB-H player SDK for Windows CE and embedded Linux-based
devices operates with DVB-H receivers using the IP interface. Furthermore
it comes along with the integration of ISMACryp an encryption system
for the secure transfer of multimedia content. Besides the Mobile Zone
presence, Fraunhofer IIS Audio and Multimedia Realtime Systems departments
are also exhibiting in Hall 8, booth 8.380. Presentations involve the
latest trends within the new MPEG Surround standard and the HD movie theatre
for the living room using MPEG-4 AVC. Broadcasters might also be interested
in maximum sound quality via any transport channel, using HD-AAC. Finally
Fraunhofer IIS presents content protection based on the rapidly growing
open standard OMA DRM 2.0.
