Hi,
I don't think so, as long as your atom signatures are not the same as some already registered by ISO or ISMA for example...
ISO uses 'cprt' for copyright
ISMA uses 'name', 'hnti', 'hinf' if I'm not mistaken...
Some others could be normalized to store metadata like the name of the artist, name of the song (in case of audio) etc.. It would prevent people to use horrible ID3V2 tags. QuickTime has already defined these kind of signatures.
