[M4IF Technotes] vop_fcode and mv_residual

Hi All,
Can anyone explain what is the physical significance of the field
vop_fcode (forward and backward).
Also, in the MV decoding process
(14496-2 specs.) the algorithm (Sec. 7.6.3) uses mv_residual (horizontal
and vertical)
to decode the difference MV (MVD). I just want to know how these values
are set at the
encoder and what do they represent.
