Subject: RE: [M4IF Infolist] Multiple Video Object in Simple Profile?????
Hello Guatam Kumar,
Multiple video objects coded with simple profile are handled in the same
manner as multiple VOs coded with other profiles. I believe the systems
part (ISO/IEC 14496-1) specifies the object-based interface. Annex K of the
visual part states the relationship between the headers of part 2 (visual)
and the names of info containers used in the systems part. I think that
without systems and possibly without part 6 (data multiplexing interface),
multi-object decoding/rendering is not normatively specified by MPEG-4, and
one is free to do it in any manner, although interoperability may be less
likely.
I'd appreciate further clarification of these points as well.
Regards,
Kris Huber
P.S. I cc'd this to technotes lists.m4if.org, as it is a technical query.

Subject: [M4IF Infolist] Multiple Video Object in Simple Profile?????
Dear All,
Can anyone guide me how is it possible to support multiple video objects in
Simple profile. I could not find any information regarding the starting
coordinates of each Video Object in the Header (at Video Object Layer, video
object, Visual object or Visual object sequence).
Warm Regards

Dear Yu-Hong,
The exact date and place are not yet known, but current thinking
is to have it about a year after the last event, and probably again
in the silion valley.
Kind Regards,
Rob
