The pointer below is interesting, as it points to information that
has ISO copyright and M4IF cannot publish without breeching copyright. 
I am in the process of getting an even more up-to-date version officially 
published.

The Reference SW is an official part of the MPEG-4 standard. It goes
through the same revisions as the text. When bugs are discovered, MPEG
creates a corrigendum. When new parts are added, this becomes and 
amendment (read: "addition")

Definitely, this is what I was referring to above when I mentioned
a new version.
