Hi all,
I have a querry on implementation of simple profile mpeg4 encoder and
decoder.
1.  If I have to encode a frame whose height and widths are not multiples of
16 do I
 need to pad these frames to make the width and height multiples of 16. Do I
need to pad only by extending the image or can I also use mirroring for
padding.
2. My other question is regarding the reconstruction of the reconstructed
frame. Does the reconstructed frame need to be of the size of the original
image width
and height or a multiple of the width and the height. Also in this case
should I actually extend the last row and the column as per the original
width and height of the image or can I use the data from the remaining rows
or columns which I get after doing the Inverse DCT instead of padding (I
would get a multiple of 8)
