To all posters referring to MPEG documents.
First, thanks for going through the trouble of providing answers. Then,
please note that this is a public list. Often, non-MPEG members will ask
questions. One might even say that the list was created for non-MPEG
members.
References to MPEG documents are only really helpful if:
* you are sure they are public documents
* you give a reference to where they can be found.
sometimes, referring to the standard may be acceptable. Please also mention
where the answer can be found in that case. (Indeed the MPEG-4 standards are
not public.)
In this case, N4699 is the working draft for the third edition of MPEG-4
systems - quite a sizable document. Yes, it is public in principle, but I
wouldn't know where to find it online ... MPEG has no website that keeps
track of all past public documents.
Thanks,
Rob
