I have written chapters in books and presentations, but they
intentionally don't duplicate the standard.
However, the basic movie atom structures are almost identical (MP4
doesn't use data handlers, for example). However, both MP4 and QT
allow atoms that the other doesn't use, and of course MP4 has
code-points specific to mpeg-4.
