[Mp4-tech] is forward and backward bit-stream decoding possible ?

Hi,
With regard, to H.264 05/2003
If I'm correct, one ought to be able to decode
slice data both in forward and backward
direction from a slice header (to be found by
synching on a slice partition (7.3.2.8)), due
to the properties of the VLcode.
However, some MB data is differentially encoded
(e.g. quantiser data "mb_qp_delta"), which
would make backward decoding impossible.
Is there a constraint on such data on slice level
(thus the slice_qp_delta), to make this possible
 nevertheless ?
