Major differences that come to mind are: ADTS contains frame length
before each frame, while ADIF
Contains header followed by raw aac (same stream format as contained in
mp4 file).
MP4 and ADIF support program configuration but as far as I know, ADTS
doesn't.
I think that MP4 parser was covered recently in this forum (search the
archives) and there are free implementations
(GPAC?) that can be studied regarding header structure.
