[Mp4-tech] Learning more about MPEG

Sorry, I have been away. I know there are many versions of MPEG, but are there
any resources for writing code to read these files and begin to parse them.
Perhaps the code can figure out what versions and how to handle each (or not
handle them as the case may be). In fact, I will most likely be dealing only
with MPEG-2 video files and later with MPEG-2 DVB-S transmissions. Any pointers
on where to start? Are there any libraries? Tutorials etc?
