Hi Gururaj Bhat,
For a stereo signal , does the standard tell that it should be implemented as CPE?
or two SCE's also allowed? (in a raw data block )
There is no restriction like stereo signal should be coded as CPE only, it could be two separate SCE also.
This kind of bit stream is called as dual mono streams. In these cases we will not apply Mid Stereo and Intensity Stereo
>From raw data block itself it will come as a SCE only. I hope this answers for your question.
Thanks
Senthil.

Subject: [Mp4-tech] Format of stereo signal in AAC bitstream
Hi all,
I have a query about the implementation of AAC.
For a stereo signal , does the standard tell that it should be implemented as CPE?
or two SCE's also allowed? (in a raw data block )
Thanks in advance,
Gururaj Bhat
