Dear experts,
The no. of RDO calculation required for an MB is calculated by following equation
Total RDO = M8 x (M4 x 16 + M16)
            592=  4  x  ( 9  x  16 + 4    )
where
        M8 for chroma
        M4 for luma
        and M16 for luma
The questions are,
1. why chroma value is 4 instead of 8 (4 x 2), since chroma has 2 components (U and V),
2. why they use multiplication  (4  "x"  ( 9  x  16 + 4    )) instead of addition (4  "+"  ( 9  x  16 + 4    )) 
    since chroma mode decision should be independent.
