The MPEG-4 Industry Forum will hold its 8th meeting in Bareclona, Spain, on
15 and 16 January.

Apart from the one-time observers, this is a members-only meeting.

* our interoperability efforts
* marketing of MPEG-4 and M4IF
* certification programs for MPEG-4 products
* reports on progress in licensing of MPG-4 technology
* liaisons, notably MPEG, and cooperation with ISMA
* some administrative matters

MPEG-4 Industry Forum - 8th Meeting
15-16 January 2002
Barcelona, Spain
This is a reminder that the 8th MPEG-4 Industry Forum (M4IF) Meeting will be
held 15-16 January 2002 in Barcelona Spain. On-line registration is
available for your convenience at

already done so, please register and make your travel arrangements today!

MEETING LOCATION:
Catalonia Barcelona Plaza Hotel

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:
Rate: The hotel guest room rate is 108 Euro (approximately 97 USD) for
single and 135 Euro (approximately 120 USD) for double occupancy per night
plus 7% VAT. To make reservations, use the attached fax reservation form and
send to +34 93 426 04 00 or e-mail it to
plaza.reservas   hoteles-catalonia.es. A confirmation will be sent to you via
fax.
The hotel accepts all major credit cards. Check-in time is 3:00 PM, and
checkout is 12:00 PM. The cutoff date for the room block is 2 January 2002.
The special room rate is not guaranteed after this time and reservations
will be granted based on availability if requested after 2 January 2002.
SCHEDULE:
Tuesday 15 January: 
* Interoperability Working Group Meeting; 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
* Marketing Working Group Meeting; 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
* Welcome Reception for all M4IF Members; 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Lunch will not be provided on Tuesday.
Wednesday 16 January:
* Member Meeting; 9:00 AM-6:00 PM
On Wednesday, continental breakfast will be served at 8:00 AM and lunch will
be served at 12:00 PM. 
MEETING FEE:
As is standard practice with the M4IF, attendees to M4IF meetings will pay a
fee to cover the costs of the meeting. The fee for the 8th Meeting is 100.00
USD. This amount can be paid by credit card or check in U.S. currency.
PLEASE NOTE: cash will not be accepted. A receipt will be issued at the
meeting.
MEETING REGISTRATION:
To confirm meeting attendance, fill out the online registration form
<http://www.m4if.org/meetings/01152002/registration.html>. Meeting
registration does not secure you a hotel room. Please complete one
registration form for each individual attending from your company by 2
January 2002. In order for us to provide comfortable accommodations for
everyone, it is crucial that everyone register in advance.
