People,
The 143rd SMPTE Technical Conference and Exhibition
in New York has a session on MPEG-4 on the afternoon
of the 6th of November. The general link to the
conference, which is from 4-7 November, is here:
http://smpte2001.iconvention.com/V25/index.cvn?id=10000&p_navID=5
See below for an excerpt from the program. (The program
you can find online is hopelessly out of date.)
Also, note there are a couple of new news items linked to
from the M4IF home page, among which the following:
Progress Report on MPEG-4 Visual (Simple and Core) Joint
Patent License (as of 18 October)
Go to www.m4if.org to find it
We will be releasing our own press release shortly, announcing
the 100th M4If member. Actually, we are up to 104 now.
The release was being prepared just before the Sept 11 attacks,
and it was decided to hold it off for a little while.
Best,
Rob Koenen
