All,
the first of six announced webcasts on MPEG technologies
"Become an MPEG-4 Expert in 6 hours" is due in a couple
of hours from now. The topic of this one-hour show is MPEG-4
Systems, focussing on the Scene Description and Object
Descriptor Framework of MPEG-4.
The webcast is a cooperation between Streamingmedia, Inc. and
the MPEG-4 Industry Forum, M4IF.
Please find information here http://www.m4if.org/streaming/index.html
and here http://www.streamingmedia.com/talk/mpeg4.asp. Also, find
listening details here http://www.streamingmedia.com/talk/view.asp?id=299
This promises to be an interesting hour for anyone that wants to
know more on MPEG-4 Systems.
Kind Regards,
Rob Koenen
ps: In relation to M4IF's role in this webcast I would like to note the
following.
Due to a change in policy by Streamingmedia, their website now requires
visitors to fill out a questionnaire with personal and company information,
before they get access to the actual webcast.
I discovered this, more or less by chance, last morning.
I appreciate that some potential listeners will hesitate providing this
information. This requirement did not exist when M4IF decided to enter
into the cooperation with Streamingmedia, and the change was not
anticipated by M4IF or communicated to M4IF. M4IF does not have
access to the information collected in this way.
