Dear people,
We are preparing a set of tutorials for the 3rd Workshop and Exhibition
on MPEG-4, 25-27 June in San Jose.
See http://www.m4if.org/wemp2002/index.html
We want to make sure that the tutorials match 'popular demand' - your
demand, that is.
Please let us know what you want to see covered at WEMP4.
We currently have the following list, which is presented with
the most recent developments first:
* The work of the Joint Video Team on a new common
ITU-T/MPEG-4 video coder (MPEG-4 part 10)
* The work on the Animation Framework eXtension (AFX)
* The eXtemsible MPEG-4 Textual Format (XMT)
* MPEG-4 Advanced Simple Profile and Fine Grain Scalability
(the latest additions to MPEG-4 Visual)
* MPEG-4 Visual Studio Profile
* Intellectual Property Management and Protection (IPMP,
or, in other words, Digitla Rights Management in MPEG-4)
- The hooks that are standardized
- the extensions that are now underway
* MPEG-4 Binary Format for Scenes (BIFS) and Authoring
* Profiles and Levels; Interoperability.
Last year we did 'Basic tutorials' on MPEG-4
Visual, Audio and Systems.
--> Is there still a desire to have these in the program?
--> What of the list above do you want to see most?
--> What is not in the above list that needs to be covered as well??
All reactions very welcome,
Rob Koenen,
also on behalf of Fernando Pereira, tutorial chair.
