MPEGIF News Readers,
MPEGIF welcomes NVIDIA <http://www.nvidia.com/>   as its latest member, the
7th new members to sign up with the start of the new membership year on July
1st.
MPEGIF members - we're gearing up for the IBC <http://www.ibc.org/>   show
in September in Amsterdam. It looks like we would have the available pods on
or booth taken, but if you are interested, let us know, and we can see if
there is still room. We will be asking for information about your MPEG
exhibits for our show guide in a few weeks.
You may have heard rumors about the Digital Media Project - check it out
here <http://www.chiariglione.org/>  and see the news items below.
The 65th MPEG meeting has started yesterday with technical work. News from
this meeting will follow in the next Digest.
Many people have asked us about the Workshop and Exhibition on MPEG-4. We
are now shooting for March 2004 in Europe, either before or after the 15-19
March MPEG meeting. It will still be a workshop and an exhibition, but it
will be about MPEG-7 and MPEG-21 in addition to MPEG-4, and we will step up
the level of quality and participation. The MPEG (4,7,21) tutorials will be
of the same high quality that they have always been. Advanced Video Coding
will be a major focal point in the demonstrations, discussions and
tutorials.
