Michael,
I don't have a good way to verify the correctness of implementation.
I'm appreciated to know one :-)
Compare your result with existing FSS and LOG ME implementations might
give you a hint.
However, some implementation details might affect the final output.
For example, the search order (eg. spiral order FS vs. raster order FS).
Or, the way you resolve a tie condition when two candidates have equal SAD.
btw, changing the computing of PSNR is not a good idea.
If you do so, how do you compare your quality with others.
