[M4IF Technotes] HD decoders?

Why not just download Divx or Xvid, both free MPEG-4 encoders. Either of
them can create these files from most any PC file sources, though
playing 1080p at full speed is probably hard.

| I've once done this experiment for fun with the MPEG-4 codec
| of QuickTime
| (for a test sequence of 600 frames with a resolution of 1280x720, YUV
| 4:2:0). It worked but I don't want to know all the rules I
| was violating
| then ;-). The only thing you have to worry about is getting the YUV
| samples in the mov file format. I've written some code for that but I
| guess there are also other solutions.
