[M4IF Technotes] 3gp information please

Dear Nikki, 
The .3gp file format is a derivative format from the ISO File Format recently standardized jointly  by MPEG and JPEG.
3GPP supports other codecs than MPEG-4 so they have defined some extensions to signal them.
If you use the same codecs than MPEG-4, you can make a file that is both compatible to .3GP and .MP4 by the mean of multiple branding.
In the interest of interoperability, it is advised to do so.

Hi All,
This is the first time Ive heard about .3gp.
Could anyone tell me where I can find out more about this file format and in
particular how it differs from mp4.
