Hi.
I have a little question for clarifying the issue.
Basically if I use the ISO encoder for mp4, and save the file with .3gp
extension, it is a .3gp file? Doesn't the 3gp file have different headers
than .mp4?
Regards,
Eyal Peleg

Dear Nikki,
The .3gp file format is a derivative format from the ISO File Format
recently standardized jointly by MPEG and JPEG.
3GPP supports other codecs than MPEG-4 so they have defined some extensions
to signal them.
If you use the same codecs than MPEG-4, you can make a file that is both
compatible to .3GP and .MP4 by the mean of multiple branding.
In the interest of interoperability, it is advised to do so.
Kind regards,
O.
