Hi,
"Extract out a video object from mpeg4 bitstream" is not called as "spatial
segmentation".
As I understand, spatial-segmentation means
"separating different parts (objects) of an image into different images,
one-object-to-one-image".
For example, an image consisting of a news-reader, a table and the
background,
can be segmented into three separate images, a news-reader-image, a
table-image and a background image.
The same can be repeated for all the images (frames) in a video-sequence.
This can be done manually or can be automated.
There are different methods (combinations) for doing this: using
luminance/chrominance-gradient, motion-tracking etc.
Search on the net.
Regards,
Chandra
