[Mp4-tech] MPEG-4 AVC vs. MPEG-21 SVC

Dear Olivier,
a report exists which should be available as public document from MPEG
(N6383- Subjective test results for the CfP on Scalable Video Coding
Technology). This does however not really cover the application domains
you are mentioning. You should be aware that MPEG-21 SVC is at the very
beginning of a standardization process, where some of the technology
proposed in the CfP (wavelet-based is one option) is presently
investigated in Core Experiments.
