In incredible amount of spam mail gets sent to this list. You never see any

Dear Behrooz,
The parameter RandomIntraMBRefresh is probably of more interest to you. I
would also suggest to have a look at the JM Reference Software Manual, which
can be found on the following URL:
http://iphome.hhi.de/suehring/tml/
This manual contains information about the different parameters used by the
H/264/AVC reference software.
Best regards,
Wesley De Neve

Subject: [Mp4-tech] MbLineIntraUpdate parameter
Dear experts
I am currently running some simulation using the JM.11 source code for H.264
codec.
I need to encode a sequence such that in each frame a minimum number of
macroblocks are coded in intra mode.I tried to use the parameter
"MbLineIntraUpdate" in the encoder config file for this purpose. This
parameter must be set to a value in the interval [0,1].My initial guess was
that this value should represents the percentage of the macroblocks coded in
intra mode.
My problem is that the encoder only mind this parameter when it is set to 1,
and with "MbLineIntraUpdate=1" I got 22 intra coded macroblocks in each
frame of a CIF file (which has 396 MBs per frame).
So the simulation results completely contradicts my initial guess.
I am wondering if anyone could give me some information on the
"MbLineIntraUpdate" parameter in encoder config file.
thank you in advance ,
Behrooz
