Envivio

SL3639

Envivio is a leading provider of complete MPEG-4 solutions, which consist of a rich set of integrated streaming media tools and systems including high-performance audio and video, two-dimensional graphics, and animation. The company has established itself as the most experienced creator of high-quality MPEG-4 solutions that enable broadcasters, network operators, and content developers to build new revenue streams and use the efficiencies of delivering content to the full range of MPEG-4 capable devices. The Envivio solution includes various components to create, encode, protect, distribute, and view MPEG-4 content. For more information, please visit the Envivio website at www.envivio.com.

Envivio will be at Booth SL3639 at NAB. Envivio, Inc will be demonstrating at NAB in booth #SL3639:

- As part of our new product announcements, Envivio will be demonstrating its new real-time (live) H.264 encoder (4-CasterT H.264). Content will be encoded in real-time to H.264 and then displayed on the PC using 4-ViewT H.264.

- Envivio will be demonstrating a complete end to end MPEG-4 solution for residential IP Television deployment. The demo will showcase headend equipment encoding MPEG-4 (4-CasterT) content that is distributed via the video servers (4-SightT). All the headend is managed by the management server 4-ManagerT. This content can be viewed on PCs or Set-top boxes using the 4-ViewT and EnvivioTVT.

- To address the media production market, we will show a HD ingest and encode (4-CoderT HD) to archive solution for applications such as fixed contribution, VOD and nVOD and digital dailies. Archived assets will be viewed on a professional HD decoder (4-ViewT HD).

- Envivio will also be demonstrating a complete up-link and down-link solution for satellite media transport. The demo will showcase up-link equipment encoding real-time A/V feeds (4-CasterT) that is sent to Comtech EF Data satellite modem. On the down-link/receive side, the satellite modem will deliver the MPEG-4 stream to be viewed on the professional decoder (4-ViewT).

face2face animation

SU5281

face2face animation will demonstrate the latest version of its AlterEgo (tm) facial animation process at NAB 2003, which enables creation of even more subtle facial movements.  face2face will also demonstrate its plug-in for QuickTime, which is the first MPEG-4 facial animation plug-in for QuickTime.  The face2face player (tm), announced at last year's SIGGRAPH, can be downloaded from the face2face Web site at www.f2fanimation.com. face2face will appear at the Kaydara booth, SU5281, during NAB 2003. Contact can be made with Chris Pfaff, at 201-218-0262 or [email protected]."

Fraunhofer IIS

 SL 2455

Fraunhofer IIS demonstrations at NAB 2003 include:

  • Live TV-sized MPEG-4 video and 5-channel audio encoding, streaming and decoding
  • AudioID - a system for robust automatic identification and 'fingerprinting' of audio excerpts (e.g. songs) based on a database of registered items. The system relies on the use of MPEG-7 Audio Low Level Descriptors (Ds) / Description Schemes (DSs). The featured demonstration is targeted at broadcast monitoring. AudioID can identify and protocol audio program material of radio broadcast stations without the need for special processing of the transmitted audio material, as would be required in the case of watermarking. The presented setup demonstrates real-time monitoring and logging of analog broadcast programs on standard PC hardware."

Fraunhofer IIS contacts at NAB:  Mr. Stefan Geyersberger, Mr. Georg Ohler.  Find us at the M4IF booth #SL2455

Fraunhofer IIS/AEMT contacts at NAB: Sebastian Schmidt, R&D Engineer, and Markus Cremer, group manager, Automated Audio Analysis (AEMT).

iVAST

SL2901

Interactive MPEG-4 Set-top Box: An integrated set-top box solution featuring the object-oriented MPEG-4 Experience Player™ and the Sigma Designs/ National Semiconductor set-top box reference design. The solution includes audio, video and graphics decoding enabling enhanced programming, virtual channels, live broadcasts and video-on-demand (VOD) programming.

iVAST Live Broadcast Encoder™: Provides high-performance, broadcast-quality, real-time MPEG-4 audio/video encoding and simultaneous archiving for satellite and media backhaul, electronic news gathering, live event broadcasts, live education, distance learning and elearning applications. The solution maintains high quality video, reduces source media up to 100x, and lowers the bandwidth and costs required for distribution.

Multi-Channel Head End Transcoder: The first commercially available MPEG-4 digital head end solution, lowers distribution, storage and archiving costs through high-capacity video compression. The integration of iVAST’s MPEG-4 encoding and VideoTele.com’s Astria™ content processor solution transcodes up to 180 audio/video channels from MPEG-2 to MPEG-4.

Interactive H.264 and Real-time HD Decoding: Audio/video encoded by the latest MPEG-4 advanced codec is integrated into an interactive, object oriented presentation. High-Definition video, is played back real-time on Sand Video’s commercial H.264 decoder. The demonstration illustrates 100 to 150% compression efficiency versus MPEG-2 resulting in higher video image quality at lower data rates.

iVAST Media Server™ for Sun® Solaris®: The latest MPEG-4 media server delivers the manageability, scalability and availability customers have come to expect from the Solaris Operating System with the advanced interactive media delivery capabilities of the iVAST Platform.
