MPEG-4 News Readers,
The past week brought us much
pre-news for NAB 2003. M4IF has its
NAB2003 pages up and running. They
contain an MPEG-4 Show Guide, a meeting request form, information on
our Press Breakfast and a
detailed program for
the MPEG - Enabling Broadcast and Media Convergence session from
13:00-17:00 on Monday September 7th. (Also see Program on NAB's website). Leonardo Chiariglione, MPEG's Convenor, will open NAB's Broadcast
Engineering Conference Sunday morning. Monday evening, M4IF and IBM co-sponsor
the Multimedia World Reception, with MPEG-4 demos by member organizations. You can also download and print conference
information compiled by M4IF.
Four brochures on different MPEG-4 elements got
added to the M4IF website today: Advanced Video Coding
(AVC), Advanced Audio Coding
(AAC), Simple and Advanced Simple Visual Profile and Object-Oriented Interactivity. Check them out! A more detailed
High Efficiency AAC White Paper is also available.
Vqual is
offering its Vprove MPEG-4 Video
optimization/debug SW to M4IF members with 25% discount. M4IF has also arranged
significant discounts for Streaming
Media NY (5-8 May) for its members, both
for booths and for show passes. Info online shortly.
