MPEGIF DIGEST October
2004
Dear MPEGIF News
Readers,
September was clearly in the sign
of IBC 2004 in Amsterdam, which we covered in our September edition of our
MPEGIF Digest.
And October brought many
interesting MPEG-4 product and service news from Apple, Sony, Sanyo and Motorola
to name a few, as well as interesting news research on the growing global STB market and the
also increasing mobile handset market growth.
On the member press release front,
Fraunhofer will bring movies with
MPEG-4 AVC video and MPEG-4 HE AAC to your
pocket, whilst Pace Micro Technology (a new member)
is developing a MPEG-4 AVC IPTV set-top box.
Speaking about new members -
please look out for our special report on our recent new members in one
of our November editions.
Kind regards,
Sebastian Moeritz President, MPEGIF
