M4IF's Booth

NAB Booth # SL 2455: Several MPEG-4 solution providers (Ahead Software, Prodys, Fraunhofer) demonstrated their products. The demonstrations also included an MPEG-7 content referencing demonstration. Key M4IF personalities were available to talk about MPEG-4 and M4IF.

MPEG-4 Press Breakfast Monday Morning

M4IF gave the opportunity to come and meet key M4IF members demonstrating on the M4IF booth. In an informal, questions and answers-style session, a preview of the MPEG-4 Interoperability Certification Program was presented. Of course, a full Vegas style breakfast was served.

"MPEG - Enabling Broadcast and Media Convergence" Session, Monday afternoon

Together with SMPTE, Monday afternoon, M4IF organized MPEG - Enabling Broadcast and Media Convergence from 13:00-17:00 on Monday Sept. 7th, as a part of the Broadcast Engineering Conference. This session was dedicated to MPEG and especially, MPEG-4, MPEG-7 and MPEG-21, including the revolutionary new High Efficiency AAC and MPEG-4 Advanced Video Coding / H.264 codecs.
